Friday’s Letters; stick people, dysautonomia and Christmas IS OVER

Friday’s Letters

Dear people with stick families on the back of your vehicle,
After a long (okay short but meaningful) conversation (okay tweet exchange) with awesome blogger Leanne from IronicMom.com we came up with a new family bonding activity. As we are out and about our kids will be casing the parking lots to add to your very thoughtful artistic family display. We have decided cats, extra spouses and or babies, zombies and maybe a dragon will soon be added.
Lighten up, you started it…
Me

Dear Dysautonomia,
I have called about the referral to the Mayo Clinic, mailed off the updated paper work for the service dog, printed off the disabled parking permit papers, looked at the Military EFMP packet and taken all my meds on time… Do you think you could get off my case for a few weeks…
Sick and tired of being sick and tired,
Me

Dear Christmas décor,
It’s not you, it’s me. I know I got you out and was all excited, I know we played music and reminisced. It seemed very poetic and heartfelt; it really was at the time. I really think it’s over now and I’d like you to go back where you came from. I mean not too far away, I’d like to do this all again next year.
Annually yours,
Me

Love the Christmas decor letter! Can you also add a line a out it figuring out how to put itself away? And the stick figure stickers- hate them as much as I hated the Baby on Board sticker. Who gives a cramp if you have a baby on board?! Should I adjust my driving to each car I am driving next to? Should we all identify the people in our cars so other drives can adjust accordingly? If so, I have a lot of Assholes on Board stickers to distribute. Thanks for the afternoon laughs!

Enjoying our last bit of time with our Christmas decorations. Tomorrow is “el dia de los tres reyes”–Three Kings Day. We’ll celebrate then take down the decorations. We’ll miss them!

Thanks for visiting my blog and for commenting. I really appreciate it!

  4. I just found your blog (after you visited mine – thanks!) and oh my word and honor you’re hilarious! Loving it, especially the Friday letters, and the one to your Christmas decorations could have come straight from me. My second daughter was born with SVT (Superventricular tachycardia) which is also an invisible disease. Thankfully, she is off her meds, but we had some scary times with her. Love that you’re bringing light to the “But she doesn’t look sick,” illnesses! Happy writing!

  5. AHAH, I like the zombie Idea for the car stick family. My wife almost bought those the other day. Thank you for joining my blog hop!
